AML Patient Receives New Refrigerator

Deborah receives notice that she is receiving a refrigerator for her new apartment

Deborah, a patient at the Cleveland Clinic, has been battling acute myeloid leukemia (AML) for several years. Like many cancer patients burdened by costs associated with treatment, Deborah had a hard time paying her bills. Prior to involvement from Rhonda’s Kiss and the Cleveland Clinic, she was evicted from her apartment. While she was able to find a new apartment, it came without a refrigerator, a basic necessity, since she also cares for her 2-year old granddaughter. Thanks to the Rhonda’s Kiss program for cancer patients in need at the Cleveland Clinic, Deborah received a brand new refrigerator, and has one less worry as she continues through the treatment process.
